Heidi Klaimitz began her career in New York licensing programming to international and domestic broadcasters and home video distributors.  After a stint in London as the UK and Europe Marketing and Sales Director for TV Trade Media, Inc, she spent over five years in Milan marketing and promoting Berlucsoni’s Fininvest Group and his growing number of channels, exhibition circuit, production and film ambitions in Europe.  She served at the Director of Administration and Finance for Talk TV International, a production partnership in association with Procter & Gamble, where she managed the day-to-day operations and financial reporting for Talk TV International and supervised  the administrative aspects for the development and production of television programming in tandem with European broadcasters and production partners.

Heidi’s consulting work includes coordinating the institutional marketing effort for Deutsche Bank’s globally marketed international index funds, preparing and conducting surveys for KPMG pan-European media industry studies, as well as the English language promotions and marketing for the licensing division of RAI, Italian State broadcaster.  She has been affiliated with the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the capacity of event management and program evaluation, assessing over 1,000 International Emmy Awards submissions to ensure adherence to award guidelines.  She is also a juror for the International Emmy Awards.

Heidi is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (East Coast Chapter) and serves on the Educational Outreach Committee.  As part of her work on the Committee, she is working with TASC, New York City’s leading advocate of after-school programs, to develop an important professional development program that draws on BAFTA’s rich and varied professional experience to benefit New York City high school students.  She is a member of New York City Venture Philanthropy Fund currently serving on the Project Management Committee, engaged with board development, fundraising and resource development for this year’s grantee, and the Grants Committee.  Heidi is an active volunteer with New York Cares and has volunteered her time with Dress for Success and Echoing Green.

Heidi is committed to applying her managerial and communications skills to the non-profit sector and is completing a professional program in Grantmaking and Philanthropy at NYU’s Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising.
