Heidi Klaimitz began her career in New York licensing programming to international and domestic broadcasters. After working in London she spent over six years in Milan as International Corporate Communications Manager for the entertainment division of Mediaset. Subsequently she worked as a consultant in media, marketing and research in New York and Rome.
As a Director of the New York City Venture Philanthropy Fund, Heid iworks on all phases of strategic and tactical planning including review and revision of mission, goals, and programs for the Fund that invests in New York City social innovators and entrepreneurs. She chairs the Grants Committee and is a member the Project Management Committee and is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and serves on the organization’s Educational Outreach Committee.
Heidi is committed to applying her managerial and communications skills to the non-profit sector and has completed a professional program in Grantmaking and Philanthropy at NYU’s Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising and the Executive Education, Middle Management Program for Nonprofit Managers at Columbia University, Graduate School of Business.
